Therapeutic Approach
I believe therapy should be a warm and comfortable space to talk about challenges that have been standing in the way of you living the life you want. My hope is that the process of therapy can help you get to know yourself better so that you can feel more confident, connected, and calm.
I am committed to meeting you where you are. I believe you are the expert in your own life and we will work together to create a treatment plan that feels right. I often work within a psychodynamic framework; this means I will help you explore how your history has shaped your current reality. By processing early attachment experiences, we lay the foundation of healing on which you can build change. I also use evidence-based practices—including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and exposure response prevention (ERP)—to help you develop the skills and tools for reframing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.

About Jillian
Pronouns: she/her
I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with a Masters from Smith College School for Social Work. I have worked in both outpatient and residential settings where I’ve provided individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents and adults.
My Approach
My goal is to help patients live a life with fulfilling relationships, resiliency, and a sense of purpose. By providing a supportive and compassionate space, I hope to free you to look at yourself directly with kind eyes, building a strong connection to yourself and others.
I believe self-esteem comes from learning to live a life aligned with our values, and our work together includes identifying those values and discovering how to put them into practice. This often includes learning tools to regulate emotional distress that gets in the way of acting and feeling how we want to.
To do this, I rely on evidence-based techniques including somatic awareness, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. My overall approach is psychodynamic, helping you identify early relationship frameworks and circumstances that have informed your present emotional landscape and behavioral patterns. Through our work together, I hope we can increase your sense of joy in the world.

My Approach
I believe that collaboration and a strong relationship sit at the forefront of the therapeutic process. Whether you are looking to reduce anxiety, combat perfectionism, or overcome eating and/or body challenges I am honored to walk alongside you in your journey of creating greater self-awareness and sustainable change.
I practice through a psychodynamic framework, meaning we will examine how your past has influenced and shaped your present in order to make strides towards a more fulfilled life. I also frequently pull from various evidence-based practices including somatic awareness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. Together, these approaches allow us to learn about your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations and to equip you with tools to cope with life’s difficult moments.
