Teens

I typically work with individuals ages 11+ helping them navigate the countless challenges of adolescence. My priority is always developing a strong therapeutic relationship built on support, empathy, and humor to create an environment where teens can feel comfortable opening up. When working with teens, I also collaborate with parents and caregivers to promote well-being and strong communication in the family system. I often see teens struggling with:

  • Eating disorders

  • Body image and appearance-related difficulties

  • Academic anxiety - school performance difficulties, college application stress

  • Perfectionism

  • Social skills - Difficulty making friends and connecting with peers

  • Emotion regulation & distress tolerance

  • Identity questions

  • Family communication

Eating Disorders

I specialize in working with individuals suffering from eating disorders and disordered eating. I help clients develop self-compassion and empower them to strengthen their sense of self by identifying and centering their values, hopes, and needs. I have experience with a wide variety of eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating disorder, avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID), and orthorexia.

In addition to the diagnoses above, I often treat people dealing with chronic dieting, food shame, and body image dissatisfaction, I approach food and body issues with a health at every size (HAES), body-positive, all foods fit lens. I will provide a supportive space to help you explore and heal your relationships with food and with your body.
